What is the Sentry appliance?
It is the physical device that runs AstraLink Connect at your location. It combines a firewall, router, intrusion detection sensor, and secure VPN endpoint in one box that we ship pre-configured.
Does it replace my existing router?
Usually it sits between your modem and existing router or switch. In many setups it can replace the ISP-provided router entirely. We configure it based on what works best for your space.
Can I manage multiple locations?
Yes. Every Sentry appliance appears in the same dashboard, so you can check on one site or all of them from one login.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Local traffic keeps moving. Security policies are enforced on the appliance itself, so protection does not depend on a constant cloud connection.
